How do you move the boulder in the game virtiual villagers?

When you upgrade to the second level of building tech, place your builder at the very top of the springs. It could take a try or two, but he or she should start clearing the blockage. It helps if the beach is already clear, or the builder could keep returning to that. Hope I helped. ;]
