I'm trying to understand a guy interested in me who also confessed to have a "**** buddy"?

I've been dating this guy for a while (i.e. about 5 months) who is very attentive, educated, polite etc. We didn't get to know each other ually, because I feel unprepared right now, I need time to know him more. He respects my wishes and seems to cope with them. But the other night I asked him if he was seeing someone else, and he confessed to have met and currently "occasionally" seeing a "**** buddy" (for over a month and a half) once in about 2 weeks. I was glad he told it straight in my face, but in the back of my mind I couldn't refrain from considering this thing as being superficial, odd... Even the calm, detached tone he used made me feel awkward...anyway, it gave me mixed feelings. I could never do that! Now, how in the world am I going to know if this has truly ended or not, once we get to know each other better? Would I even want this relationship to become more than it is? I can't understand this because it never happened before... I could, probably, if I were a guy...

Mine went bad and had to be removed. In fact, the surgeon told me that if I had waited any longer, my own gall bladder would have killed me? Swollen painful middle knuckle?

About 2 months ago, I started excavating a 200 year old well which had been filled in with large boulders, among other things. After about 2 days of lifting these rocks from the hole, my middle knuckle on my right hand began to hurt and I lost some range of movement. I went back and did some more excavation last week and the symptoms have now gotten worse. I can't lift a cup of coffee because the lateral pressure on my middle finger is excruciating. If I bump the finger on something it sends pain back through my hand. The knuckle is swollen and without health insurance, I at least need to know what is wrong. I did nothing to cause a break or fracture just heavy lifting. In the morning I run hot water over it and mage it which helps but only for a short while. It seems to subside somewhat throughout the day as I use it. But then in the morning it's back to square one. It even wakes me up if I bump it in my sleep. My profession involves lifting but this is hampering my ability to do that. HELP PLEASE! :(

Are 8 week old kittens to old to try and bond with pet rats?

Hi, I have a couple friendly pet rats and I want to get a couple kittens but I don't want them too old that they will try and attack the rats. I know 2-7 weeks is the "imprint" stage for kittens but it's hard to find any rescues adopting out kittens that young, 8 weeks is the youngest I can get. Is that too old to attempt to bond with my rats? The rats don't run around but they live on a high table that has barriers (hard for a cat to get to) but if one really tried, they could get to it if they really wanted to get to the rats and I'm trying to make sure the cats won't ever want to. I'm just not sure if 8 weeks is too old to try and bond with the rats.

I am in school finishing my BS in Math and do not have a job as me and my husband made the agreement that he would work alone while I finished school. So NCS calls me...demands 2000 in full from back rent. Finally I negotiated well enough to get her to accept very low monthly payments as I explained I do not have a job (they have not tried to contact my husband so at this point I'm leaving him out of it) Well, when I go to their website to make a payment it doesn't work. The only other payment options are sending cash (western union) or paying an extra 40 bucks for a debit card over the phone...yeah right! So I call to ask why my information isn't being accepted on the website and she spouts off my information and I realize she doesn't have my correct SSN, I told her it wasn't correct and she says she can't fix it...I never give my actual SSN. I had sort of just forgotten about it over the holidays until today when she calls asking where my payment is I was supposed to pay. I said, you don't have my correct SSN and I am not sure about paying it under another one. She proceeds to call me a bad person and tell to pay my debt blah blah blah. I know I should have made sure I had something in writing from the apartment and the agency doesn't believe me about what happened, I don't know what to do ...we really don't have any extra money lately. I was so frustrated on the phone with this woman that I said "F*** You B**** and hung up". Why can I do, or what can they do legally about this debt???

Am I really incapable of learning math?

When I was in the 6th grade, I had some serious issues with fractions. Come to think of it, I wasn't able to memorize the times tables in the 3rd grade. So now, when I try to teach myself math that I should know, I get it long enough to work a few problems and then I forget how to do it, sometimes within hours, but sometimes a few days. Sometimes I'll even start to work something out (for example, the concept of how the RSA algorithm works), and I'll get to a point where it looks to complex for me to try to work any further. So, my actual question is, am I really incapable of doing this, or is this some subconscious excuse for me to be mentally lazy?

Will my extremely low high school grades prevent me from going to the school I want?

My godmother/aunt, who raised me since I was born died the summer before my 9th grade year. So throughout all my freshman year I got low grades and I mean low I ped only one cl that year. I finally snapped out of it midway through the 10th grade but it was to late I was asked to leave the school and was enrolled in a independent studies program to get my credits that I lacked. What GPA do you need to get into MIT?

I would like to get in but I doubt they would bother reviewing it because my GPA isn't through the roof amazing. I attend a health magnet school, it is the only school in my city that was ranked "exemplary" and is known for its competitiveness. I am also a latina girl (which I have heard may make a difference in my application because colleges want a diverse student body). We do special medical cles in my school in 9th and 10th grade, (instead of PE) then we can do rotations in hospitals for a cl, or in school rotations where we can become nurses istants, dental istants, pharm. techs etc... Our cl sizes are small, approx. 140 students, my GPA will most likely be around 94-95 (hopefully) I have learned how to study, and my resume will show I have improved. How can I change how people perceive me?

I have recently realized that everyone thinks i am a stuck up snob. I perceive myself as a very friendly giving person, so this came as a shock. My good friend at work told me that other people at work and in college said things about me being a stuck up snob. She also told me that was also her first impression of me before she got to know me. Why can't I get a job when I've held the same job for 10 years?

I am currently working part time at a veterinary office, where I have been for the past 10 years. I'm seeking full time work and have been doing so for a long time, but no one ever calls me for an interview. Pizza Hut, at one point said I am over qualified to work there for some reason. I don't know why with my solid work history that I wouldn't qualify to work at Pizza Hut. One area pizza hut says they are in a hiring freeze even though it is on their website that they are hiring at that location. I was told by the manager at one job I applied for that he would call me back, but never did and now the the Sports grill is open. I continue to see examples of how our society is on a downhill race toward total ignorance. I am a grad student but I have seen some pretty bad examples of blatant ignorance among my clmates. Seems a good basis for a story. Just a couple of things I would like to suggest though. First thing is Mary wasn't laying in deserted alleys, plural, just an alley, singular. There seems to be a bit of tidying up needed between the first and second paragraphs. Something is missing at the end of the first paragraph...perhaps, her last thoughts drifted to her mother sitting at home watching the television and her little terrier waiting by the door for her return. In the first paragraph Mary is still alive and in the second, much later, she is dead. Also I wouldn't mention (twice) the make and model of the inspector's car as it really isn't necessary. These are only my suggestions though and I have no expertise in this area.

Ok. my family has been on and off diets for years now. but my dad is the worst at these. when ever i have?

No, not necessarily. Just because you are unsure about your faith doesn't make you an athiest. An athiest in my mind actively proclaims that God doesn't exist as a fact. I am a religious person and have nothing against either athiests or agnostics, unless they make remarks just to annoy people. I am not the most conservative of Christians, though, and once was even called an athiest myself because of an odd misunderstanding. Being unsure of God isn't a bad thing. You can't come to know Him instantly, and being confused sounds like a normal part of agnosticism. You just need to be open to other people's thoughts on God and on life in general to find what you truly believe in. I was going to see the movie Bad Teacher at the Galaxy 16 theatre and I am 16 years old, my dad and bro went to see The Green Lantern. My dad bought me the ticket. Once I got in the theatre, a employee comes up and asks for my ID and ticket I give her both but I was escorted out of the theatre for being to young. She escorted me to the movie my dad was in and said that I had to have a parent in the movie with me and that even with my dads permission I'm not allowed. First of all, the $900 is an exuberant amount to pay for one room of ceiling work. Should only be half that and that would be high end.(unless you have vaulted or very high ceilings) Considering that the materials would be less than $200. As for who is responsible, it is whomever you signed a contract with. If you did not sign the contract with the subcontractor which I do not see why you would then it would fall to the contractor. Of course if you did not report the problem until now, and there is no warranty on the craftsmanship of the ceiling then you are simply S.O.L. and will be stuck with the repair bill. Most work when completed has no warranty unless otherwise issued in writing and complaints have to be lodged almost immediately. My recommendation is to look through the warranty of the roofing contractor and if it is not warrantying anything from it's subcontractors you should just find someone to do the work right for the lowest cost you can. Make sure the work is done right before you pay them ANYTHING. If someone asks for money upfront for materials or any other reason they are not reputable. And make sure you have a contract in writing so they can not over charge you after the work is done and force you to pay more or have a lien put against your property.

I lease a house in Texas from a leasing company. Yesterday I found out that the house I am leasing was foreclosed on and sold at auction on 7/1/08. I, of course, have already paid July's rent. I contacted the leasing company and they said they had know idea that the house had been foreclosed on. They told me to bring some proof from the court. I took the foreclosure notice as well as the sale info that I obtained from the courthouse. They said that was between me and their client (the old owner). I have been contacted by the new owner (who bought it out of foreclosure) and he wants the rent payment for July (since he bought it on 7/1/08). Does anyone have any information on what my rights are and who if anyone owes me money for July's rent? Will this require some type of civil suit against the old owner of leasing company?
