Is it fair that God makes life get better as time progresses?

Who said it's better? All of our conveniences have left a terrible mark on our planet that God made. I bet people in ancient times (and not so ancient times) didn't think their lives were particularly hard. They didn't have anything to compare it to. I don't think God is responsible for the conveniences humans have invented, except as far as we have been made in God's image. God is CREATOR, and we are little creators, but in our sinfulness, we don't necessarily create responsibly.
