Does this sound fair? What woud you do?

well i agree with your husband. my family would never charge to keep their grandchild. in fact they never did. i offered but they never accepted let alone had an amount in mind. i would go with the sitter. i know it would be nice to have family do it but not if she has a bad habit of smoking pot. mother or not i wouldn't trust her to not smoke while my child is in her care.
